Our West Lancashire
Our West Lancashire is the Independent force in local politics. We are a loose grouping of civic-minded individuals and urge residents to cast their votes in local elections on LOCAL issues, not the NATIONAL picture. Two party politics is failing us in West Lancashire. Labour and Conservative councillors are complacent and have to toe the party line. Time after time they fail to stand up for their local wards because they have to follow the dictates of their party. Whether in Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Burscough or the villages, residents feel excluded and ignored. We have a string of achievements to our name and we are the group setting the ideas agenda. We are determined to put residents before the party whip. We’ve attracted people new to politics and from all the main political parties.

Unique Glass Lampwork Hedgehog pendant necklace from Picnic Blanket Jewellery, lovingly designed and handcrafted in their jewellery studio in West Lancashire.
Every individual glass charm is delicately formed by hand in a flame, reaching temperatures of 800°C before soaking in the warm glow of the kiln for over 8 hours, to ensure strength and longevity.
It is then carefully released from the mandrel, washed, cleaned, reamed and polished, all by hand, before finally making its way to the jewellery studio, ready to be made into something dreamy.
With the whole process taking several days to complete, each handcrafted piece is truly made to be treasured.
